This August, HDG Architects welcomed Mara Brak as the firm’s first Marketing Coordinator! Mara recently graduated summa cum laude from Grove City College, earning a Bachelor of Science in Design and Innovation.
Before joining HDG Architects, Mara gained experience in marketing, UX/UI, and communications through internships at Hardly, a Pittsburgh-based AI startup, and Webbula, a software company in Wexford. At Grove City College, she also developed her social media experience as a social media manager for the Communication Arts and Design department’s Instagram account.
Mara’s experience extends beyond digital marketing. Through her involvement in the Entrepreneurship Venture Battle and Elevator Pitch competitions, she developed her presentation and communication skills while working with teammates to pitch business ideas that earned funding to pursue their concepts. Mara also brings a strong background in photography to HDG. She is an award-winning photographer, earning First Place for Feature Photo in Division II at the 2026 Student Keystone Media Awards.
At HDG, Mara will work alongside Marketing Manager, Andrea Dulick, to support the firm’s marketing efforts, including proposals, social media, and other marketing initiatives.
Outside of work, Mara enjoys wedding photography, reading, crocheting and knitting sweaters, and drawing. She is usually listening to her favorite artists while working on one of her latest creative projects.
