We are honored to be the design team behind the new Aviation Science Center for the Community College of Beaver County (CCBC) at the Beaver County Airport (BVI)! This 30,000-square-foot facility represents a pioneering step in aviation education—combining an academic building, a public airport terminal, and a fully operational air traffic control tower under one roof.
On April 11, 2025, CCBC and BVI hosted a ceremonial groundbreaking to mark the start of construction on this ambitious and visionary project. Designed to provide students with immersive, real-world experiences, the Aviation Science Center integrates classrooms, simulators, and an FAA-compliant control tower. Students pursuing degrees in Professional Piloting, Air Traffic Control, and Aerospace Management will have direct access to the environments and equipment they’ll encounter in their careers—right from day one.
At HDG Architects, we are proud to be part of a project that not only enhances academic opportunity but also solidifies Beaver County’s leadership in the aviation sector. With an expected completion timeline of approximately 15 months, we look forward to seeing the lasting impact this facility will have on students, the college, and the surrounding community.
