The construction of a new 49,000 square foot, three-story elementary center was designed to create a connection to the existing Middle-Senior High School Facility. The new building has allowed the district to consolidate students in grades kindergarten through twelfth, a Pre-K program, and faculty and staff onto one centrally located campus. The elementary school building was designed with a high efficiency exterior building shell and building systems, including automatic daylight sensing controls for building-wide LED lighting and modular HVAC equipment that provides flexibility for energy usage based on the building demands at any given time. The project involved significant site improvements necessary to locate the new building in a way to connect it to the existing Middle School and to allow for appropriate parking and outdoor play areas. The facility is set upon an elevated plateau, allowing for expansive views of the surrounding rolling landscape.
