HDG provided architectural services to determine the renovations necessary to allow for a complete conversion of the existing high school building into a middle school. Renovations to the existing 250,000 sq. ft. building will include a new central and secure administrative suite and reconfiguration of existing spaces to provide a special education teacher center, art classrooms, a faculty planning center, a learning support space, a media classroom, and a business, computers and information technology classroom. The existing school was in need of upgraded mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems as well as accessibility improvements throughout the building. Renovation work also included a new main entrance creating a secured vestibule allowing the main office to control access during school hours.
