Community College of Beaver County – Aviation Science Center at Beaver County Airport

New multi-story 30,000 sf shared facility incorporating the Community College of Beaver County’s (CCBC) new School of Aviation Sciences, new administrative offices for CCBC and the Beaver County Airport Authority (BVI), a new public airport terminal, and a new FAA compliant and fully accessible air traffic control tower.

The design of the project is intended to provide a 21st century learning environment that acknowledges CCBC and BVI’s joint legacy of a shared pursuit of excellence in aviation, while focusing on the future; evoking a sense of limitless possibilities and aspirations, reaching new heights and pushing boundaries in the field. Exterior glazing allows building occupants ample, natural light and the ability to watch surrounding flight activity. Shared public spaces with interior glazing allow the public to witness first class training exercises in real time while also serving as a recruiting tool to grow CCBC’s national reputation.
