At HDG Architects, we believe that great design doesn’t just shape the future, it honors the past. Each year, our team takes a break for Adopt-a-Landmark Day, a tradition that brings our staff together in service of historic preservation.
This year’s destination: the Bradford House in Washington County, Pennsylvania, a National Historic Landmark and former home of David Bradford, a leader in the Whiskey Rebellion. Steeped in 18th-century architecture and Revolutionary-era history, the site offered the perfect backdrop for our annual day of hands-on volunteer work.
From landscaping and painting to minor repairs and site cleanup, every team member played a role in helping maintain this treasured landmark. It’s our way of giving back to the places that define our region’s character and supporting the organizations that work tirelessly to protect them.
We’re grateful to the Bradford House Historical Association for welcoming us and for their dedication to preserving this important piece of Pennsylvania’s story!
